An AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) Panel is an essential electrical device used in systems that rely on backup generators to ensure a continuous power supply during an outage of the main utility power. The AMF panel automatically detects the failure of the main power supply and starts the backup generator, switching the load from the utility to the generator to maintain power continuity.

  • Automatic Operation:

    • Power Monitoring: The AMF panel continuously monitors the incoming utility power supply for voltage, frequency, and phase failures.
    • Automatic Generator Start: When a power failure or abnormality is detected, the panel automatically sends a signal to start the generator.
    • Load Transfer: Once the generator is up and running, the AMF panel switches the load from the utility supply to the generator, ensuring that the connected systems remain powered.
  • Automatic Mains Restoration:

    • Utility Monitoring: The panel continues to monitor the utility power supply even while the generator is in operation.
    • Automatic Reversion: When the utility power is restored and stabilized, the AMF panel automatically transfers the load back to the utility supply and shuts down the generator.
